Distinctive Unit Insignia

Description
A pentagon shaped Silver metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall blazoned:  Per bend bendy of four Argent and Azure, and Brick Red, a winged Roman chariot Or.  Attached below the device a Silver scroll inscribed THE QUEENS CHARIOTS in Blue letters.

Symbolism
The colors brick red and golden yellow are used for the Transportation Corps.  Blue and white bends are placed in the upper part of the pentagon in reference to the units support of Infantry.  The winged chariot is symbolic of the speed with which supplies are transported.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 30 December 1958.
